You do realize you just wrote that thievery is acceptable so long as the rightful owner of the stolen item intended to sell it.

The moral convolutions you go through to justify his actions merely because of his target, which he would have to attempt to victimize AGAIN to gain retaliation in any form, is shameful.

If you fear justified retaliation, mayhap you should suggest to that 'innocent boy' he not steal. Regardless of who his target is.

Which is why he is still alive now. Unharmed, utterly.

Did you consider that, in your rush to defend his surely harmless and innocent actions?

Once may be forgiven.

More than once is deliberate pursuit of trouble, and if that boy goes looking for trouble I guarantee he will find it. He is old enough to understand what he is doing, even by mortal standards.

How sad it is you seek to ameliorate punishment instead of prevent the action that causes it.

By the Twelve, how could someone be so indignant over having something stolen that was worth enough to purchase a house!

For entertainment, and not need! Surely his age makes his behavior acceptable and one should submit to having it happen as often as the child wishes!

Truly, one may never understand the outrage of not wishing to deal with it again. How ridiculous the notion that retribution may follow if it happens. After all, if one did not desire to be stolen from, or otherwise "pranked", one should just stay home behind locked doors and pray the thief doesn't have lock picks.

I have warned him, and now I have warned you. My tolerance only extends so far, and until now I have been exceptionally merciful. Do what you will with that warning.

Does this have a previous page element? Mayhap you should re-read your responses. Wherein you repeatedly forgive his actions and yes, imply they should continue to be tolerated. And gone so far as to claim I should not inflict the same punishments your own kind have devised for such behavior.

Which, again, would require the boy to take deliberate actions. I wonder if it is leniency to a child, or that the target was a loathed foe.

Come now, you are not so ignorant as to think that unique, unobtainable things might not be exceptionally precious in a place where no such object otherwise exists. And from Dravania, no less, and not a more typical tropical clime. Why, if that sex-obsessed rabbit determines how to grow more of them, he could now build an empire.

Because he totally doesn't deserve everything he earned through hard work and effort!

If you know him, can you say in truth that he is NOT?

I judge you by your actions and your words, which repeatedly cast you in a bad Light even without Her interference. Did Hydaelyn send you to in one breath insist on some manner of cooperation and the next slide to mockery? Does even now, She compel you to see only the worst, or is it merely because that's what you expect and then work to cause the expectation to happen?

These past weeks I have wondered at it, as there has been plenty of time to do so. How you can insist I should provide you the benefit of hearing you out, or seeing you as less than an enemy, and then your actions and words only continue to prove you incapable of extending me the same. Even when I warn you that you are being played the fool by a liar and a thief, so that you may not fall prey to the same tricks that have led to suffering before.

You have shown me who you are, Warrior of Light, and I would be remiss to disregard it.

[It had been a brief distraction, in between tearing out the walls of what passes for a new home. He hadn't gotten quite so much for a lone pineapple that he could hire someone else to do it for him, and more work awaited as soon as the watch was put aside.]

If you wish to change my mind, truly, use less words and more actions.

[A small last line given the verbosity he'd used before, but he is content ... more or less .. to leave it at that.

Less content over other matters, like most probably having to deal with the thief again. Death wasn't always necessary, some cultures preferred simply cutting the hands off. He shouldn't neglect those options quite so quickly..]
